The Lucas Off Road Racing series arrived in Glen Helen this past weekend and was greeted with a sellout standing room only crowd. They and the betting fans were not disappointed as the Lucas Off Road drivers put on spectacular shows on both nights.
The Pro 2 Unlimited action on Saturday night was more of the same for Rob MacCachren as he got the jump on the start from the third position and jetted around pole sitter Craig Adler without much effort. From there Rob MacCachren stayed true to form and left the rest of the field in his wake.
Back in the pack there was some controversy as fast qualifier, Carl Renezeder clipped Adler in mid air sending Adler on his head. Renezeder was black flagged and sent to the back as a penalty.
Round 10 of the Pro 2 Unlimited started with a spectacular flip on the first lap bringing out the red flag and sending Robbie Pierce to the hospital with a concussion. Once the red flag was lifted it was all Rob MacCachren again as he led flag to flag to sweep the class for the weekend.
Pro 4 Unlimited was the Rick Huseman show all weekend, as Huseman started Saturday night at the tail end and raced his way through the field. The highlight of the race was Kyle LeDuc getting on his head and then coming back to almost win until he bicycled it late in the race to hand the win to Huseman.
Pro 4 Unlimited Huseman had tire trouble and started in the back once more but this time he was caught up in a melee early. The pile up that swept up Huseman allowed LeDuc and Renezeder to run away from the field. Leduc held on tow win after Renezeder flipped while running second.

Carl Renezeder has dominated multiple classes in the series in the past but he is being challenged by Rob MacCachren in the Pro 2 series and Rick Huseman in the Pro 4 series. Chris Brandt and Brian Deegan are in a battle for the Pro Lite Unlimited series, separated by only 16 points after the first eight races.
The Glen Helen event will be the fifth stop and the ninth and tenth races in the 16 race series. The Lucas Oil Off-Road series weekend could be the drivers’ toughest test of the year, with temperatures expected to hit the century mark for the early August race.
The driver and team that is best suited for a dry and dusty track will have the best chance to bring home a victory. Although track personnel will attempt to keep the track watered down, the dry heat will evaporate the water within minutes, creating a bumpy track that will be tough to drive.
The 42nd Tecate SCORE Baja 500 off-road race recently took place. The Mcmillin crew made it a family affair as they managed to win big at the race.

The race began in Ensenada and finished 9 hours and 15 minutes later back in Ensenada for the McMillin team. The McMillin family is making these types of victories a habit, as they were the winners of the Baja 1000 that took place last November. This win also marks the second victory for the father and son combination at the Baja 500. Their average speed throughout the race was just over 47 miles per hour.
The second place team finished a distant 7 minutes behind the McMillins. Sports betting star, Gus Vildosola Jr. was the runner up in the race.
There are a few different divisions of this race, including motorcycles and ATV’s. There was a lot of encouragement in the development of this race. This race produced the fourth-highest percentage of finishers that the race has ever seen. 192 of the 289 total starters managed to finish the race. That comes out to about 66.4 percent of all racers.
The father and son combination will continue to race and hopes to continue to be a winning team as time goes on. Having several victories under their belt, they feel like they are the team to beat in the future.

One of the most famous drivers in the NASCAR sport has been Dale Earnhardt Jr. but the fame and hype that accompanies his name is yet to live up. When he was 6th in the standings, he has not finished in the top 10 of the standings since 2006.
Earnhardt Jr. looked like a solid prospect in his early career, some even thought he would be better than his father was. He was 3rd in the standings each year in 2003 and 2004, and many thought he was on his way to stardom. He has nearly fallen off the charts since then when talking about contenders for the cup standings.
More than one race in a season has not been won by Earnhardt Jr. since 2004 when he won 6 and will need to find away to finish first if he wants to jump back into things. Sitting at 10th place in the points standings, 159 points behind Sprint Cup betting leader Jimmie Johnson, this season he has been the best he has been in a few years.
With a 2nd place finish at Daytona, the biggest race of NASCAR Earnhardt Jr. started out the season and also managed a top ten finish in Bristol. He has been solid in all but one other race, where he finished 32nd at California.
Still the potential to be a great NASCAR betting driver seems to have with Earnhardt Jr., but to find consistency on a race to race basis is needed. He can get back into being a top 10 driver in the sport if he can have a solid finish every week and stay away from those 20th and 30th place finishes.
